Upcoming host of the Oscars and 30 Rock star, Alec Baldwin, was apparently rushed to the hospital last night after his fourteen-year-old daughter, Ireland, called 911. Sources say Baldwin’s daughter told emergency services that she could not wake her father up, and they sent an ambulance to the scene.
After rousing Baldwin, he agreed to accompany paramedics to Lennox Hill hospital in Manhattan, where he was evaluated, treated and released. Baldwin’s press representative, Matthew Hitzik told E! News that the situation was overblown and there was nothing really wrong with Baldwin.
No news has been released at this time about what, if anything, was actually wrong with Baldwin, and Hitzik remarked that it was a misunderstanding.
According to Hitzik, Baldwin is absolutely fine, and has already returned to work this morning.
Baldwin is set to co-host the Academy Awards on March 7 with fellow actor/comedian, Steve Martin. The two recently starred together with Meryl Streep in the film, It’s Complicated, a romantic comedy about a divorced couple who reunites at their son’s college graduation. He is also still working on 30 Rock, and will provide the voice for one of the characters in upcoming family film, “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.”
