Video of the Day: YouTube Meets Daneboe and the Annoying Orange

I’ve always wondered what YouTube would look like if some mad scientist hooked it up in a lab Weird Science style and brought it to life. I’m sure a lot of us expected YouTube, with its sleek, sex appeal, to come out of that experiment looking at least a little like Kelly LeBrock, but no. YouTube looks nothing like Kelly LeBrock, and he doesn’t have a sexy accent either. He’s more like a cross between Bill Gates and Napoleon Dynamite, and he’s kinda mean.

At first I didn’t think YouTube was intentionally mean. I thought maybe he was just a little stupid, but first he obliterated Subzero from Mortal Kombat, and then he whipped out a needle and gave poor little Annoying Orange the H1N1 virus. That orange never hurt anyone, and who knew oranges could get swine flu? On the other hand, I hear he’s recovering nicely. One of the benefits of being jam-packed with Vitamin C.

I admit, this video is silly. Those who don’t appreciate stupid humor are probably not going to laugh, at least not like I, or the other 200,000 people who watched it did. On the other hand, it’s Monday, live and laugh a little.
