I have to assume that this show took a cue from MTV’s The Buried Life and decided that feel-good programs were the way to go. On tonight’s episode of Live for the Moment, we follow a Colorado man named Roger Childs who is suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).  Roger experiences some of the items that are on his bucket list including flying in a fighter jet, visiting the Kennedy Space Center, watching a shuttle launch with astronaut Buzz Aldrin, and helicopter skiing. Joe Probst of Survivor fame hosts.

Vampire Diaries (8:00 p.m. EST, CW)

You know I love my vampires. On tonight’s episode, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) do their best to find out the identity of the new vampire in town, and they go with Elena (Nina Dobrev) to a school dance that has a sock hop 1950s theme. Elena’s a lucky girl, isn’t she? Not only does she have two dates to the school dance—she has two vampire dates. Meanwhile, Matt (Zach Roerig) gets a job at the Mystic Grill to get some extra cash.

Poor Matt—not too exciting tonight, huh, buddy?

First 48 (9:00 p.m. EST, A&E)

This television show puts gore back into the program line-up. Tonight’s episode investigates the murder of a homeless man who was found on a highway in Harris County, Texas, with numerous stab marks. Also, a Louisville detective digs deep into the murder of the prime suspect of a double-homicide case. Want to get creeped out by real-life wackos? Watch this. Just make sure your doors are locked and your home security alarm is set.
