Angelina Jolie and her brother James compiled home videos of their mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away three years ago today. Titled “To Mom with Love,” the video contains rare home movie footage of a 1981 family trip to Hawaii when Angelina and James were children.

Jolie was very close to her mother, and admitted after her passing that she struggled to cope with the loss. She stated that this video tribute was like spending time with her mother, and was very healing.

This beautiful video tribute could be any loving mother enjoying a well-deserved holiday with her two children; the kind of memory that provides comfort and a nostalgic feeling reminding you that she’ll always be with you.

This just off the rash of rumors that Jolie and her Hollywood hubby, Brad Pitt, were calling it quits, is like a small dose of reality. Celebrities are people too, who grieve and face loss just like everyone else.

Now that Jolie is a mother herself, I hope she’s making memories like this with her own brood, despite the constant tabloid rumors that the six Jolie-Pitt children long for quality time with their high-class Hollywood parents. With such a good role model in her mother, I think Angelina’s kids will be just fine.
