Jon Stewart Daily Show 300x300On Thursday’s edition of The Daily Show, comedian Jon Stewart tore into Keith Olbermann in response to Olbermann’s recent rants against Massachusetts senator-elect, Scott Brown.

Olbermann called Brown “an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.” Wow! The next day Olbermann expanded on his rant, explaining in detail each one of his insults.

His claim that Brown was sexist was tied to a comment someone attending a recent rally shouted out during Brown’s speech about shoving a curling iron somewhere unpleasant, and just after the comment, Brown said, “We can do this.” Olbermann claimed this made him sexist because he did not refute the statement and explain it fell out of time with his actual speech. The sad factor? Olbermann was actually serious. Stewart pointed out that if he had to refute everything said when someone in the audience shouted random nonsense, he’d more or less be doling out nonstop apologies.

Stewart then went into a full-blown, alliterated and repetitious outburst in mockery and insult, even defending Michelle Malkin, noting that Olbermann’s comments about her were far more sexist than anything Brown has ever said. The audience railed with cheers and applause.

I wonder how Olbermann felt. He doesn’t exactly seem the type to just let something like that wash over him without a response. The hot of air rarely do.
