Let me begin by saying that I wasn’t thrilled when Jake was chosen to be the main man on The Bachelor this season, but he has made a believer out of me. His strength, honesty and determination made me want to cheer him on, or give him a high five.
I can only say that I hope Jake quickly figures out who are the catty, jealous, manipulators. Two of them were sent home tonight for good reason, but there are still too many left behind. Jake and Vienna experienced a thrilling connection on their special bungee-jumping date, and am I the only one who is confused as to what kind of dealings with Vienna have caused them to so viciously attack her? Have they been lost in the editing process or am I just blind? Really, I am still sitting here scratching my head. Jealousy and a herd mentality are the only reasonable things that make sense, and showed in Ashleigh’s comment when she remarked, “I would rather watch paint dry than to sit in a room with Vienna, as she discusses her fantasy love connection with Jake.”
And then there is Ali, who appears to be the leader of the backbiting pack, who lectures and attacks Vienna like she is the mother of a clueless child.
The demure sweet Ali that I admired as a “fresh innocence” last week, has disappeared under a cloak of green envy, and it isn’t a pretty sight.
What can I say about Michelle? Listen to her musings of the future , “When I finally get to kiss Jake, it will be that crazy tongue-in-your-mouth, pulling hair, ripping the clothes off.” Instead the reality was that she had to ask Jake to kiss her, and although the grimace on his face could not have been more telling, he politely responded to her request with a not-too-shabby kiss. But she handed him his head and demanded more than that, as she defiantly stated, “that kiss was nothing.” He looked to the Heavens, gave a big sigh, bowed his head and said, “I’m almost ready for this night to be over. With an awkward and unsuccessful attempt at manipulation, she once again states her demands, or tells him that she will have to leave. He kindly, but quickly, agrees to her demands and sends her home. I had to hold back a laugh when she accused him of “kicking her to the curb.” Clueless.
Last of all, we were privy to more outrageous behavior from Elizabeth, as she was true to Jake’s name for her as “the Queen of Mixed Signals.” She continued to tease him with sexual innuendos and suggestive thoughts, but wouldn’t allow him to kiss her. He called her out on it, but the denial was too deep, or she was playing dumb, when she denied his feelings, admitting only to a harmless flirtatiousness. Jake sent her home, and admitted knowing that she was afraid of love, and had been trying to control the situation to protect herself.
His class act continues next week as the previews show him unwilling to be controlled or manipulated, and may once more break tradition with the show’s format by sending more bachelorettes home than the producers had planned.

Good update. I am right there with you, why do the girls dislike Vienna so much? And Ali is turning out to be something other than what I originally thought.
