Video of the Day: Hitler’s Not Happy with NBC

By Jennifer Hudock on January 14th, 2010

I’m probably not going to stop with the NBC thing for awhile. Not because of the hype, but because I honestly feel really bad about what they’re doing to Conan O’Brien. I know Conan said we shouldn’t feel sorry for him, but I tend to have a soft spot for those enduring injustice. Apparently, I’m not the only one. According to recent news, The Tonight Show ratings have surged in light of recent events, and that’s probably because of nosy-parkers like me tuning in to see what Conan will do and say next.

I’m not the only one who’s upset with NBC. In fact, Hitler, who was planning a trip to California and the NBC studios, did not take the news well. While I’m not exactly thrilled to have something in common with Adolf Hitler, I don’t think Jay Leno is funny either. I haven’t thought Leno was funny since… well never, really.

To me, this is like that annoying trend in the Hollywood film industry to rehash and remake old movies, rather than taking a chance on something new. But Conan isn’t new; he paid his dues, NBC. He’s been busting his balls in late night for more than fifteen years, and he deserves a break. Grab Leno by the chin and toss him out on his butt. Or is Hitler right? Is NBC afraid of Leno?

Either way, this is a chance for television big wigs to shock the world and do something unexpected. They could honor their original contract with O’Brien and give Leno a consolation hug before walking him out of the studio. Unfortunately, they probably won’t do that.

This is hilarious. My co-workers looked at me funny, I was laughing so hard.
