Today on the 700 Club, Pat Robertson spoke in front of the masses and stated that the earthquake in Haiti was, “God’s vengeance upon the Haitians for making a deal with the devil to rid themselves of the French.”

People, I really wish I was kidding.  Historically speaking, the French left Haiti in 1825 so I’m wondering why God would wish to exact his “vengeance” almost 200 years after the fact.  I’ve read the Bible.  That’s not the type of God I’ve read about nor the type of God I’d ever wish to believe in.

I’m almost at a loss for words.  Correction, I’m almost at a loss for words that aren’t peppered heavily with many types of creative profanity.  Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell are what’s wrong with this country today.  Yeah I said it and I’m proud to say it.  “But what about free speech?

” you might ask.  What about it?  I’m not saying they don’t have the right to express themselves, but they have no right to claim their opinions are facts and the way of the world.

We live in a country where two people who love each other can’t get married because they just happen to have the same gender and I believe it’s partly because of brainwashing idiots like Pat Robertson here.  You know there has to be some gullible fool who, because of Robertson’s speech, now believes a whole country of people in pain who are suffering from a catastrophic earthquake deserved this because their ancestors some time along the way made a “deal with the devil.”

For those who believe this, as a Christian I say “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.” (John 3:16).  As a human being I say shame on you Pat Robertson and I hope you rot in your own personal hell that the “Devil” has created for you.
