The Bachelor Has a Bumpy Ride on the Wings of Love

Bachelor_Season_14_300x300The Bachelor: On The Wings of Love lived up to the hype this week, as Rozlyn threw herself at the unsuspecting Jake Pavelka, on the InStyle photo shoot date, and received the coveted group-date rose, for her trouble. Sadly for him, he didn’t know that she was “getting it on” with one of the staff members. Little good that rose did her, and what was she thinking? On a side note, doesn’t the editing always give some of the drama away? I love the quote Rozlyn made, to no one in particular, that clinched her identity as the staff temptress, “I don’t really have to worry if I am going to stay tonight, because I have a rose, beotch.”  Personally, she did little for me. Maybe it was the arrogance that permeated from her, or the conniving jiggle of the ” jugs.” Whatever it was that turned me off, had the opposite effect for the bachelor. He was crushed when he found out that Jozlyn was deceitful and had an inappropriate relationship.

Backing up a bit with the story line, Ali took to the skies with the handsome, rock-solid bachelor, and admittedly her fear of flying evaporated with the calm Jake as her pilot.

She is the polar opposite of Rozlyn, with her fresh innocence. The fairy tale date included dinner, wine, and a rose, followed by a lingering kiss. Chicago put on a private concert for the two of them with a rousing “Saturday in the Park,” followed by the romantic ballad, “You’re My Inspiration.”

Michelle went a bit nuts when she found out that Jake didn’t choose her for any dates, and left the living room in a huff stating, “I am that woman, the one woman that he’s been looking for. I’m not ordinary like the other women. I have so much love to give. I’m just that nice girl that everybody hates. Jake showed me that he didn’t want to be with me, so tough for him.” She packed her bags and decided to leave, but was later talked into staying. Why, oh why?

Six Flags Amusement Park was the site for the group date. Elizabeth got the rose after her intriguing request to Jake, that he not kiss her until she was chosen at the finale. Later during the fireworks display she was almost begging him to kiss her. What a tease—but it worked.

The Bachelor has admittedly had some crazy moments during its’ 14 year run, but the walk (and pack) of shame by Rozlyn, hits the top of the uncomfortable list for me. Stay tuned, as next week unfolds even more drama, when Jake asks someone to leave before the rose ceremony even takes place.
