Bear Whisperer (8:00 p.m. EST, ANIMAL)

Okay. I’ve heard of the horse whisperer and the dog whisperer…but the bear whisperer? That’s some crazy Dr. Dolittle stuff if I’ve ever heard it! This program has me seriously intrigued. It documents Steve Searles, wildlife specialist, as he works with the tourists and black bears in a resort town in California. His goal? Ensuring that both the humans and the bears can peacefully coexist.

The Jay Leno Show (10:00 p.m. EST, NBC)

Tonight, Jay welcomes the deliciously hunky Denzel Washington, presumably to talk about his upcoming film The Book of Eli (which I desperately want to see). You’ll also get to enjoy Jay’s witticisms during JMZ, the talk show host’s version of the trashy tabloid report show TMZ.

The Real Housewives of Orange County (10:00 p.m. EST, BRAVO)

This, like many of the reality shows airing over the past few years, is like a train wreck to me. I know I should look away and change the channel, but I can’t do it. I can’t seem to pry the remote out of my hand and push the numbers for another channel when these plastic, fake-baked women are on the screen. On tonight’s episode, Simon and Tamra get into an argument over Gretchen (like you could go one episode without an argument), and Gretchen takes Lynne’s daughter shopping. I’m looking forward more to the argument than the shopping, but that’s just me.
