Glad to know I am not the only one that is disappointed with BBCA’s programming. I loved the mystery Monday movies, Coupling, Manchild, Red Cap, Primeval and other BBC original programming.

Currently I feel like I’m watching any other American rerun channel – and paying extra for it. Time to rethink my channel line-up.

Thank You…you summed up the whole problem beautifully! BBCA seems to be going for the same audience who would enjoy watching JackAss on a loop. I hope someone’s listening and brings back the funny, provocative and heartwarming sensibility that originally made me obsessed with the channel.

I actually sent them an email telling them that I was not happy with the current programming and that they need to bring back the comedies and dramas. What is BBC Canada like ? do they have better programming?

Yes I agree..BBC America has gone down the pan.Being Brits my husband and I love our bit of British TV.Come on, Top Gear on 24/7!!!Star Trek..give me a break.Thank God PBS is showing some of the finest British TV..Sherlock Holmes new series was fab.. Who ever is in charge of programming needs the boot! BBC Canada is even better than BBC America. Tried to contact BBC America but even their website is useless.

The only thing I watch on BBCA is Doctor Who other than it’s not worth it,I miss the old BBC America( now that I finally have directv all the time they decide to go to the dogs. I want the Britcoms back and the drama and Star Treck is not British. I want the old BBC back cut the reality shows down ENOUGH!

I just up graded my cable channels so I could get some variety and the BBC. What a disappointment. I can watch Star track the next generation on 15 other channels and Ramsey kitchen on 20. I was hoping for some good programing like they had 3 years ago. I will give through the beginning of the fall season but then will dump it if it is the same programing I can get on every other channel.

true, true….there seem to be two problems, first they are catering to the 18-24 age group of super consumers, with the top gear, primeval,dr who, skins, and the list goes nauseatingly on. Second, every day has a show and it is repeated about 20 times (various episodes) throughout the day, at least here on the west coast…there is no let up and it is a shame, such a great channel with such potential, now, one has to go to Sundance or PBS….so sad.

You are so right, BBC and PBS were the only channels I used to watch. Sorry Ramsey cursing or two ladies cleaning house is just not enough to settle me down for TV watching, takes a lot more than that and the BBC used to offer it – not anymore! Very, very disappointing.

Oh that is sad. I only catch bbc for news or world news now because their programming is so crappy. Occasionally I’ll find something with Judi Dench and I’ll pause to watch it. But that is rare now too. I did catch the series Coupling on Netflix. Now they should bring that back. That was funny programing.
