Happy New Year’s Eve! If you find yourself at home with nothing to do, check out these awesome and new shows.
Live from Lincoln Center (8:00 p.m. EST, PBS)
Ring in the New Year with live performances by the New York Philharmonic and talented baritone Thomas Hampson. Enjoy your favorite Copland and Broadway classics including Copland’s “Old American Songs,” “Appalachian Spring Suite,” and Gershwin’s “An American in Paris.” This event is hosted by Alec Baldwin and promises to be memorable.
18 Kids and Counting (9:00 p.m. EST, DHLTH)
The Duggar family is here to help you enjoy the last night of 2009. During this episode, the huge family goes to see a musical about Noah’s Ark, where their participation is requested. How the couple deals with 18 kids is beyond me. In my opinion, they deserve an award for staying sane and keeping the family alive.
Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest (10:00 p.m. EST, ABC)
This is the ultimate way to ring in 2010. Join Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest as they host from traditional Times Square in New York City; Fergie hosts the event in Las Vegas. A wide variety of musical guests perform from the stages at each location to help you and your family rock your way into the New Year.
