2009 was jam packed full of memorable TV moments. We experienced everything from shocking series finales to wild and crazy reality show antics. Narrowing it down to ten was no small feat. So with no further adieu, here are my picks for the top ten TV moments of 2009.

10. Kanye West’s MTV Video Music Awards interruption

Kanye decided he needed to interrupt Taylor Swift’s speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. He stormed the stage and took the microphone from Taylor to express he feelings about Beyonce’s video.

9.  Balloon Boy Hoax

America cringed and watched intently as the Heene’s weather balloon flew for over an hour.

The balloon was supposed to be carrying the Heene’s six year old son, Falcon. Luckily the boy was safe the whole time. It was later revealed that the entire incident was masterminded by the father, Richard Heene, as a ploy for a reality TV show.

8. Grey’s Anatomy season finale

In the finale we are led to believe that George and Izzy are both dead. In the fall season premiere we find out George was killed but, Izzy survived.

7. The Office wedding

Pam and Jim finally get married in the wackiest wedding of the season. The producers used the famous YouTube video of a dancing wedding party to create the memorable moment.

6. Matt Damon on Entourage

Matt played a crazy version of himself that, just for a moment, made crazy look really cool.

5. Conan O’Brien Tonight Show take over

We all waited in anticipation as the show opened. Jay Leno was gone and Conan O’ Brien took the reins of one of the most popular night time talk shows of all time.

4. Seinfeld reunion

Larry David somehow convinced the cast of Seinfeld to do a mini reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm. This was the first time the cast had performed together in over 11 years.

3. ER series finale

The 15 year old medical drama ended in traditional ER fashion. The finale had many returning doctors and nurses from the shows long history.

2. Teresa tosses the table

Teresa from Real Housewives of New Jersey, lost it and flipped a table with glasses, plates and other items. This display was one of the funniest things I have ever seen on television, to be sure.

1. Lost season finale

The moment when Juliet had to sacrifice herself and beat the hydrogen bomb with a rock was my top moment of the year.
