Susan_Boyle_300x300Drumroll please… Susan Boyle captured the hearts and souls of nearly everyone on the planet back in April of this year when she stepped onto the stage in Britain’s Got Talent and took the first step toward her lifelong dream. At forty-eight, the Scottland-born singer has been singing nearly all her life in the church choir and at karaoke night at the local pubs, an unknown talent just waiting to be discovered.

As she stepped up in front of the judges, everyone scoffed. Who did this woman think she was, parading in front of a live television audience like she had some business there among the future hopefuls. She certainly didn’t look the part, but when she opened her mouth and began singing, “I Dreamed a Dream,” from Les Miserables, everyone, including Simon Cowle, ate crow.

She had the voice of an angel, the kind of voice that brings tears to your eyes and sends chills down your spine.

Since her appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, Boyle has gone on to release a record-breaking album titled “I Dreamed a Dream,” which knocked the socks off the competition and continues to sell.

Boyle’s capacity to follow the dream in her heart, combined with the amazing sound of her voice are reason enough for her to be featured in the number one YouTube video of the year. Her video has been watched more than 82-million timesf since April 11, inspiring 475,894 comments. She is an inspiration to dreamers everywhere.
