It’s the week of Christmas and Christmas movies are all over the tube. But, what do you do if you just can’t take another Santa movie? I have collected some of the movies that will give you a break from Christmas specials.

50 first datesThursday, December 24, 2009- Bravo- 9:00 p.m.

50 First Dates- this is an Adam Sandler/ Drew Barrymore movie about a girl who has short term memory loss.

Friday, December 25, 2009- Encore -8:00 p.m.

The Breakfast Club is classic 80’s movie about a group of teenage kids spending Saturday detention at school. If you have not watched this classic it is a must see for all lovers of chick flicks.

Sunday December 27, 2009- ABC- 7:00 p.m.

The Sound of Music is the classic story of Maria and the Von Trapp family.

This musical is a great movie for the whole family.

Caffyshack 2Thursday December 24, 2009-Spike- All Day Marathon

Star Wars Episodes IV, V and VI- The marathon starts at 10:00 a.m. and the movies repeat all day till early on Christmas morning.

Saturday December 26, 2009- CMT- 7:00 p.m.

Police Academy this is the first movie in the Police Academy series. Police Academy is a great guy movie to watch when you need a great laugh.

Saturday December 26, 2009- VS. – 7:00 p.m.

Caddyshack and CaddyShack II- These Chevy Chase comedies will bring back a flood of memories and keep you laughing until your sides hurt.

Kid’s Corner

MadagascarFriday, December 25, 2009- HBOe -8:00 p.m.

Marley & Me is a dog movie about a couple that adopts a Labrador puppy. The puppy soon takes over their lives. The movie is rated PG and every child I know loves it.

Friday, December 25, 2009- STARZ-8:00 p.m.

Bedtime Stories is a hilarious Adam Sandler comedy about a uncle and his niece and nephew. The stories they come up with a bed time become real the next day.

Sunday, December 27,2009- Cinemax- 8:30 p.m.

Madagascar 2: Escape from Africa is the sequel to the blockbuster Madagascar. Children are memorized by these movies. This movie is good clean fun for kids of all ages.
