The Christmas Day parades are always fun to see, especially if your children (or cats in my case) wake you up early enough to see them. This year at 10:00 a.m. on ABC, Disney is televising the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.
Our hosts this year are the lovely Kelly Ripa (Regis and Kelly) and the every chipper Ryan Seacrest (Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest). Nick Cannon (America’s Got Talent) will step into his first co-host position for the Disney parade. All of our favorite Disney characters will be there (what’s a Disney parade without Mickey Mouse?), but I’m more excited about one of the guests.
The fantastic Stevie Wonder will be performing his own holiday classic, “What Christmas Means to Me.” It’s worth tuning into the broadcast just to see this legend perform! Celine Dion will be featured singing “Don’t Save It All For Christmas Day” and her own rendition of “O’ Come All Ye Faithful.” The Jonas Brothers are rockin’ it out with their new song “Summertime Anthem.” I honestly can’t tell why that deserves to be played during a Christmas Day parade, but I’m not in charge.
All of our favorite Disney Princesses will be there, including the newest addition, Tiana, of The Princess and the Frog. The Tony Award winning actress (and voice of Tiana), Anika Noni Rose, will be performing “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee” while accompanied by Dancing With The Stars’ Tony Dovolani and Cheryl Burke. This Mardi-Gras musical piece will take place in New Orleans Square in Disneyland.
There are many other performances listed, but I won’t ruin all of the surprises! Make sure you watch this awesome parade!
