The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love is ready to take off on January 4, 2010, so let’s meet the ladies that are going to entertain us this 14th season. But before we get started with the introductions, let’s meet the bachelor.
In case you have been out of the country for a while, and haven’t yet heard, the upcoming bachelor is commercial-airline-pilot Jake Pavelka. Remember Jake? He had tongues twittering during the fifth season of The Bachelorette, when after he was dumped by Jillian Harris, he returned to tell her that the man to which she was attracted, bad boy Wes Hayden, had a girlfriend, and was not really into her. That bold move probably earned him the coveted Bachelor role, so it wasn’t all bad, in spite of the fact that many fans were put off by his decision to rat on his fellow bachelor.
Out of the 25 women that I will introduce to you, 10 will go home the first night. This season, the ladies will be surprised to learn that Jillian Harris and her Chicago roomie and fiance, Ed Swiderski, show up to give Pavelka advice on which women are best for him.
I understand that several women are pretty forward, and in fact right from the get go, Vienna (isn’t that a city?) asks to fondle his six pack. Ashley tries to seduce him by wearing sexy flight attendant garb and Pavelka may have a stalker named Michelle. Let’s hope the press release isn’t just trying to build up our hopes.
