The nominations for the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced this morning, and there are lots of good shows that are getting shout outs.
CBS’ The Good Wife picked up a nomination for best drama ensemble, fighting against The Closer, Mad Men, True Blood, and Dexter for the title. My personal favorite out of this list? Dexter, of course! It’s one of my favorite shows, and I would love to see it win.
The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies was also awarded with a nomination for best drama actress, vying for the title against Medium’s Patricia Arquette, Damages’ Glenn Close, Saving Grace’s Holly Hunter, The Closer’s Kyra Sedgwick, and Law & Order: SUV’s Mariska Hargitay.
Another of my favorite shows, NBC’s The Office, was nominated for best comedy ensemble and faces rivals Glee, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, and 30 Rock.
This category would be the toughest for me to judge, as I’m fans of all of these shows. But I’ve got to stay loyal to The Office, so of course I’m rooting for them for the win!
In other categories, I’ll be rooting for Michael C. Hall of Dexter for best male actor in a drama series, The Office’s Steve Carell for best male actor in a comedy series, and Edie Falco of Nurse Jackie for best actress in a comedy series. Can you tell that I’m a lover of NBC and Showtime shows?
Who will you be rooting for to win during the SAG Awards on January 23rd?
