Here are my top picks for movies on TV for the upcoming week. I am sure that you can find a few that you’ll enjoy. All the times listed here are Eastern Times. Please check your listings to find the times in your area.

Friday, December 18, 2009- 9:00 p.m. – TV Land

Dirty Dancing- This classic tale of forbidden love and dances is what boosted Patrick Swayze to fame. Watch Baby and Johnny dance again.

Saturday, December 19, 2009- 9:00 p.m. – Lifetime

Thomas Kinkade’s Christmas Cottage- This is a biopic the story of a young painter who paints a mural to save his family.

Wednesday, December 23, 2009-7:00 p.m. – Oxygen

The Notebook- Is the story of two people in love that are separated by their family’s choices.

Man-O-Rama

TakenFriday, December 18, 2009- 8:00 p.m. – AMC

GoodFellas is a real life story of New York mob life.  Joe Pesci, Robert De Nero and Ray Liotta all star in this classic guy film.

Saturday, December 19, 2009- 7:00 p.m. -AMC

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation- This holiday comedy will thrust up right into the Christmas spirit with all the antics of the National Lampoon movies.

Monday December 21, 2009 -8:00 p.m. Cinimax

Training Day- Denzel Washington stars in this Oscar winning undercover cop movie.

Monday December 21, 2009 -8:00 p.m. HBOe

Taken- An ex-CIA agent’s daughter is kidnapped and he travels across the globe to get her back. If you haven’t seen this griping nail bitter yet, I highly recommend watching it.

Kids Corner

RatatouilleFriday, December 18, 2009- 7:00 p.m. – USA

ELF- The story of a human boy that grows up at the North Pole and believes he is an elf. This movie is fun for kids and adults

Saturday, December 19, 2009- 8:00 p.m. – ABC Family

Ratatouille-This Pixar animated movie is the tale of a mouse that dreams of being a chef. Like all the other Pixar films, this one is sure to please the kiddies.

Thursday, December 24, 2009 9:00 p.m. – Disney

Bah, Humduck! A Looney Tones Christmas- This is a great older cartoon special you can show the kids before they are of to bed to wait on Santa Claus.
