Courtney_Love_300x300It’s a mixed bag of nuts today, at least that’s how the television industry news looks from here. First off, we find that Courtney Love (former wife of the late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain) has finally lost guardianship of her daughter.  Probably about time, after all the crap she’s been through.  Perhaps now the girl will have a chance at a normal life.  Oh wait, never mind, I forgot who here parents were there for a second.

Many of you will be watching NBC’s new show The Sing-Off tonight.  Will this be the show to rescue NBC from its dismal ratings? One never knows, but personally I doubt it.  Why? Who the hell is into A Capella singing these days?  But what do I know, I wouldn’t have predicted Glee to be as popular a hit as it has been for FOX either.

Oh wait, there’s sex on that one.  Doubt they will include that in The Sing-Off. Anyway, if you are interested, here’s ten questions posed by TV Guide to Nick Lachey, the host of the show.

Ever. Yes, it was that good.  In other news, Californication didn’t do so bad either.

LOST is still in the headlines, despite the fact that the final season doesn’t start for over six weeks. Apparently the sighting of LOST related polar bears is on the rise.  Check out the bears and a final season promo put together by a fan of the show.

After reporting last week on who was behind the now viral Jersey Shore punch scene, MTV has apparently decided that was too much controversy for the already controversy-laden show.  Say what? I thought MTV’s reality shows were all about controversy?

The last two links pretty much speak for themselves. DVRs appear to be on the way out (yeah, right) and NBC announced their mid-season schedule (does anyone still watch that network? seriously?).
