The Real World has been all over the place, including Cancun.  This time the show is headed into the heart of our nation’s capital. This season looks to be a hot one yet again, as MTV has combined people who would most likely never associate with each other under the same roof, much less televise it for our viewing pleasure.  This year’s cast is quite diverse, as you will see.

Ashley- She’s Portuguese, beautiful, and very opinionated.  Ashley has a hot temper and blunt demeanor and will be the first to tell you she doesn’t agree with your views.

Emily- Emily was raised in a fundamentalist Christian cult in the Midwest.  She’s left her home in search new ideas and new beginnings.  Apparently she also has a bit of a daredevil streak.

Mike- The typical jock growing up, Mike fit a stereotype quite nicely, until he discovered his love knows no bounds.  Now Mike is trying to decipher whether he’s bi-sexual or gay.

Callie- This Texas native lived a rough life with her family growing up.  She always felt a little out of place in her hometown as she’s free spirited (and vegan), so she’s come to the big city to be a photographer.

Andrew- This is the boy you hate to love and love to hate.  He’ll say anything to get a rise out of you.  He’s a wise-cracker, witty, and very offensive.

Ty-  Ty was abandoned by his biological parents.  After bouncing around foster homes, he was adopted at the age of five.  He’s athletic, a native of Baltimore, and very anti-religion.

Erika- She the melodramatic girl of the group.  A singer from Chicago, Erika grew up battling depression.  She’s pulled herself together but still has a big need for attention and affection.

Josh- Josh is a self proclaimed “ladies man.”  He’s a glam rocker/rapper from Philly who will find that D.C.’s extensive nightlife might make it hard for him to stay true to his girlfriend back home.

The cast is very culturally diverse, but it will end up the same as any other The Real World season, with tons of fireworks! While you’re waiting on the fireworks to begin, check out this sneak peek video of welcoming day…
