Everyone gets a little irritated this week on Cougar Town. Jules and Laurie show a house eight times in a row to a wealthy and very annoying customer (he goes so far as to call Laurie “Blah Blah”) while Bobby annoys Grayson. Ellie decides to try and be more trusting and allows her husband to be alone with baby Stan all day.
Ellie talks Jules into going to a spin bike class where she becomes instantly attracted to Ryan, a jeans model. She tries to hit it off with him and they go out on a double date with Laurie and Ryan’s friend. Jules can’t find herself having fun because of a client, Jeff (Scott Foley), who only looked at an expensive house eight times and picked on Laurie to try and get Jules’ attention. During a ninth showing, Jeff kissed Jules and sent her reeling. Jules leaves her date with Ryan to go see Jeff and they decide to give dating a try.
Meanwhile, Grayson is dealing with something uncomfortable and Bobby knows it. Grayson won’t talk about it and gets more and more annoyed with Bobby as he tries to help his friend. It’s finally revealed that Grayson’s ex-wife had her baby, a boy named Tristan. Being that she left Grayson because he wanted kids, Grayson’s very torn up about this. Bobby’s there for him in pure Bobby fashion- he gets Grayson a beer.
Ellie doesn’t trust her husband Andy with their baby, Stan. She tells him everything he needs to do to take care of Stan and he resents it. She decides to go out on a limb and leave Stan with Andy all day without instruction. When Ellie finds Stan attached to a tether connected to Andy’s ankle, she’s furious, but she decides to forgive him.
It was good to see Scott Foley in this episode (last time I saw him was on Scrubs) and good to see Courteney Cox Arquette’s character date someone who’s not half her age. Although, if she keeps dating Jeff, can we still call her a “cougar”?
