Season eight of The Biggest Loser has drawn to a close and all of the 16 contestants are back to show off their new bodies. One of the final three contestants will receive $250,000 and one of the eliminated contestants will receive $100,000.
The episode started with Alison Sweeney giving a review of the season. Liz and Amanda were brought back to find out who America had voted into the final three. The producers used some cool special effects showing the contestants when they first got to the ranch, side by side with their new looking bodies. Amanda won the spot in the final three.
The first four evicted contestants came on stage, showing their massive weight loss. Julio and Antoine had changed so much; they should have had a DNA test to make sure this was the right person.
Antoine went from 367 lbs to 215 lbs. Alexandria, who started at 309 lbs, lost 91 lbs. These two are now dating. Sean, who weighed 444 lbs on the first week, lost 155 lbs. Julio started at 407 lbs. He has lost 180 lbs, putting him in the lead for the home player’s prize.
The next four eliminated players got ready for the weigh in. The most drastic changes here were Abby and Tracey. Fan favorite, coach Mo, lost 92 lbs. Dina lost 79 lbs. Abby lost exactly 100 lbs. Tracey took the lead with her 118 lbs weight loss.
The last five at-home players weighed in. Shey, the largest person ever on The Biggest Loser, lost 172 lbs. Daniel, her team mate, lost 111 lbs. Rebecca, who made a drastic change, lost 139 lbs, putting her in the lead. Allen lost 116 lbs and Liz lost a total of 91 lbs. Rebecca walked away with the $100,000 at-home prize.
Shey was given a challenge by Subway. She will come back at the end of season nine. For every pound that she looses from now until then, they will give her $1,000.
Antoine surprised Alexandra with a wedding proposal and everyone was ecstatic. He could barely get the words out, he was crying so much. It was awesome!
The final three finally took the stage. They all had unbelievable transformations. The weight loss was just jaw dropping. Amanda, who started the ranch at 250 lbs, lost 87 lbs. Rudy, who started the ranch at 442 lbs, lost 234 lbs. Danny started the ranch at 430 lbs. He lost 239 lbs, for a total percentage of weight loss of 55.58 percent. This was over half of his body weight.
Everybody lost a considerable amount of weight in less than six months. Everyone on the show this year inspired me to be a better person physically, emotionally and spiritually. The next season of The Biggest Loser will start on January 5th and be a season of couples. The couples will range from husband and wife, family members, to boss and employee.
