Seinfeld FestivusTBS blessed us with a rerun of the famous Seinfeld episode, Happy Festivus. The episode was first entitled, The Strike. The fans loved the Festivus holiday so much they commonly refer to the episode as, Happy Festivus.  The Episode starts with the crew at a Hanukah party, which Elaine refers to as Studio 54 with a menorah.

At the party, Jerry hooks up with the two faced girl. You remember her, beauty and the beast. Elaine gives a fake number to the denim vest guy. She writes the number on the sub card, that is one sub away from the free sub.

Back at Jerry’s Crammer gets a call saying he is no longer on strike and can return back to work after 12 years.

After George’s Dad, Frank, Sends George a Festivus card, Crammer becomes intrigued with the holiday.

The History of Festivus

Years ago, Frank was buying a doll for George’s Christmas, when a fight broke out with Frank and another father. Frank decided to have his own holiday, away from the commercialism of Christmas.  Thus Festivus was born. An aluminum pole is brought into the house instead of a Christmas tree and as the family sits around the table, They tell each other how much they disappointed them during the year. After the tradition airing of grievances, comes the feats of strength.

George decides to make fake donation cards to all the people at his jobs, instead of gifts. After his boss gives him $20,000 for George’s fake charity, George uses Festivus as an excuse and invites his boss to the Festivus Dinner.

At the dinner, Crammer arrives with two guys from Elaine’s fake number business and Jerry’s two faced girl. Crammer remarks, “It’s a Festivus Miracle!”
