On this episode of Ghost Hunters, the TAPS team searches for the paranormal in the house of American literary legend Mark Twain. The house has reports of apparitions, sounds, voices, shadows and more. Will TAPS discover what is plaguing this 1874 homestead?

The Mark Twain House, Hartford, Connecticut

Mark Twain built and lived in the house for 17 years, with his family. While there he wrote such classics as “Tom Sawyer,” “Huckleberry Finn” and “The Prince and The Pauper.” The Family left the house after Susy, their daughter, died at 24 with spinal meningitis. Dustin and Britt are still with the team until Steve and Tango return from Ghost Hunters Academy.

The team made quick work of the setup, so much so, that Jason and Grant remarked, “Steve and Dave who?” Jason and Grant started the investigation in the dining room where an apparition was seen and footsteps have been heard. They hear knocking sounds coming from the foyer then Jason sees something on the thermal camera. The hits on the thermal turned out to be their reflection. Kris and Amy head to the foyer and Amy hears a voice.

While Dustin and Britt were on the second floor, Britt sees shadows dancing across the floor in the nursery.  They then hear a loud bang coming from downstairs. They could not find the source of the sounds.

On the staircase, Jason and Grant say they can feel the vibrations of footsteps, but no one was moving. Upstairs something passes in front of the light and blocks it out. Grant goes to check it out and discovers if he walks from the bedroom to the nursery, he blocks the light. The stay there for a while and it happens again.

Kris and Amy hear footsteps in the library that seem like they are coming from the floor above. The footstep could not be explained away. The team decided to tear down and call it a night. During the analysis the hard drive holding all the DVR footage went down and the computer techs could not recover the data. That sucks. They did hear some thuds and footsteps on the audio. During the reveal, the owner was quite happy with the stories and audio that was brought to her.

This was a great investigation to watch. I hated that the videos were lost. Let’s hope that they can return sometime and get some video footage of the occurrences in the house.
