The Biggest Loser had a special episode this week that followed the final four contestants home and back to the ranch. The contestants had to fight it out for 60 days at home. Who will be able to deal with the stress of balancing life and weight loss?
The show started with a review of the final four from the beginning until now. The transformation of these people is truly inspiring. They don’t even look like the people they use to be. Camera crews followed the four home as they had triumphant receptions from family and friends.
After these receptions were over, each contestant got a video from Bob and Jillian.
These videos showed how much they changed on the eleven weeks on the ranch. They also received phone calls from Bob and Jillian telling them they had to run a marathon in 60 days. This 26.2 mile task was daunting to all of the contestants. Curtis Stone made a visit to Danny’s family showing them how to prepare healthy food.
All of the contestants received visits from Bob and Jillian. The most memorable being Liz, who remarked, “Oh hell, that’s Jillian.” Jillian and Bob helped each contestant deal with the stresses they were facing and encouraged them to continue on with their journey.
At the marathon, the contestants learned that if they crossed the finish line, they would receive $10,000 for the charity of their choice. Rudy took on the marathon like someone who had been doing it for years. At the 13 mile marker, Dina joined him for the last half of the marathon. Rudy completed the marathon in 5 hours 12 minutes. Amanda struggled about halfway through, complaining of pain and breaking down in tears. Her best friend joined her at mile 13. She finished in 5 hours 28 minutes. Liz and Danny, the oldest two contestants, were plagued with body aches and pains at mile 10. Liz would not let Danny quit. They finished in 6 hours 55 minutes.
At the weigh-in, the top two contestants with the best percentage of weight loss would go on to the finals. The other two contestants had to plea their case to America and America will decide who will be in the top three. Liz weighed in first. She lost 16 lbs, bringing her total weight loss to 85 lbs. Amanda weighed in with a loss of 16 lbs, bringing her total weight loss to 80 lbs. The third to weigh in was Danny. He lost 59 lbs for a total of 201 lbs. Rudy weighed in last, loosing 43 lbs, bringing his total weight loss to 189 lbs.
The live finale with be next Tuesday. If the changes so far indicate what we will see, we should be in for some drastic weight loss from all contestants. It looks like it will be a close race for the final three. I can’t wait to see all of the old contestants and their new bodies.
