We only had four channels when I was growing up, and the Flying Circus was on PBS all the time. It shaped both my sense of humor and my love for British television comedy. Eric Idle is still my favorite of the cast to this day, though they all definitely had their place and the show would not have been the same minus any single one of them. I grew up on Monty Python.
