Cyber_Shopper_300x300Cyber Monday is the ceremonial kick-off to the online holiday shopping season (My what an interesting time we live in now). Taking place the following Monday after Black Friday, the term was created, criticized and now widely used to signify the new online shopping season. Here in the Real TV Addict home base of operations (think of the Bat Cave but replace the old costumes with DVD copies of Fame and Dallas) we’ve put together a list of the Top 5 Cyber Monday TV DVD Deals. There are currently no specific prices released for individual shows at the moment because of the Black Friday sales, but if you’re looking to grab a series, we have whittled it down to five.

Using a calculation similar to that of College Football rankings, we’ve discovered your best Cyber Monday TV show purchases based on popularity of the show and the possibility of you having a brand new TV and sound system.

5 – True Blood Season 1

Amazon.com is currently running a Black Friday price of $31.99 for the Blu-Ray version which is a steal considering they are selling the DVD version for $33.99. Vampires are all the rage at the moment, but if you’re not into the teenage romantic angle of the whole concept, True Blood is your show. Gritty, disgusting, graphic and gory fused together with a type of realism only Alan Ball can achieve, True Blood was last year’s hit.

4 – Six Feet Under The Complete Series

Again, Amazon is currently selling the entire series at the ridiculously low price of $87.99 – The Whole Series! Six Feet Under is the quintessential TV show for any fan of the episodic genre. Great performances by stars like Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall and a wealth of other accomplished performers combined with the realism of Alan Ball’s story makes the series about a family that owns a funeral home one of the greatest of all time.

3 – Weeds Seasons

Target recently leaked a preview of their Black Friday flier and in it you can make out that they will be unloading seasons of Weeds on DVD for only $8.99. This is probably one of the best deals out there (although it has yet to be confirmed) and come Cyber Monday you never know how many will be left at that price. If you can grab one online, get it. Although the last few seasons of Weeds have derailed a bit, the first two seasons are amazing as they follow housewife-turned drug dealer Nancy Botwin in her perfect looking community.

2 – It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Seasons

Walmart has aggressively priced all of the DVD seasons of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia at around $20 per. Following the lives the four owners (and Danny DeVito) of Paddy’s Pub in Philly, the FX comedy throws all of the normally untouchable subjects out the door. With episodes devoted to defecating in the bed, racism among children and a mind-blowing scene of Santa Clause getting bitten in the neck, Sunny is the perfect way to lose a weekend. At roughly $20 a season you can pick up all four seasons and the memorable Christmas Special for under $60.

1 – Deadwood The Complete Series

When someone says you get 19 discs you immediately think you’re going to have to dish out the cash right? Well Best Buy‘s Black Friday deal for the HBO show Deadwood is unbelievable. For a meager $99.99 you could have 19 discs full of dirty-mouthed western folk. The three-season show ended way too quickly but it still doesn’t take anything away from great performances from Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant and Molly Parker. Deadwood is a peek back into American history as it follows the story of the last remaining area without government.
