In this week’s episode of ABC television’s hit drama FlashForward we learn why Bryce was about to commit suicide right before the blackout happened and what made him change his mind. It turns out that he has stage four cancer and at the time he was considering suicide there was little hope of him making it. His father had fought cancer for three years before he died and it tore his family apart. Bryce didn’t want them to go threw the same thing.
During his Flashforward episode he sees that he is going to meet a beautiful young woman from Hong Kong and it seems that they will be in love. This gives him the will to try chemotherapy again because that vision of his meeting this woman in the future has given him a reason to live.
It seems so real to him that he flies some 3,000 miles to try to find her.
This woman is very successful, having a job with a robotics company of high prestige, but she is unhappy there for more than one reason. She leaves and flies to Los Angeles and as it so happens she is on the same plane going back to the states as Bryce, but they never meet each other.
FBI agent Demetri discovers that the government wire-tapped his phone, intercepted and recorded the conversation he had with the woman who told him when and how he was going to be murdered. He is able to get a copy of the recording to analyze it in hopes of tracking down this mysterious woman and getting more answers from her. Fortunately they are able to isolate the music that is being played in the background of the phone call. This is unique music that is only played in one specific place in the world which gives them a location as to where to look for this woman.
Flashforward continues to be a highly interesting show that has a plethora of unknowns that tug at you from both directions. For some characters, you want the future to come to pass exactly as they saw it, while with others you want them to find a way to change the future. The show continues to intrigue the imagination.
