This week, the Ghost Hunters team hit the sunshine state to investigate another lighthouse. Britt and Dustin are still filling in for Tango and Steve, who were off filming Ghost Hunters Academy. In the past, lighthouses have given the TAPS team a wealth of evidence. Let’s hope that this lighthouse does not disappoint.

Pensacola Lighthouse, Pensacola, FL

This lighthouse was built in 1859. In 1965, it was automated and still functions today. The history of the lighthouse is sketchy at best. There are rumors of a murder and of a woman who died after giving birth. The paranormal activity report ranges from cold breezes to full blown apparitions.

Jason, Grant and Dustin took a tour of the lighthouse and the keeper’s quarters. The team setup all of the equipment and started the investigation.

Jason and Grant started the investigation in the lighthouse itself. They started getting K2 hits on the stairs and various walking sounds above them. This was about all that happened in the lighthouse itself. The rest of the experiences were in the keeper’s quarters.

Amy and Kris went into the basement. They were feeling a little uneasy, then something touched Kris on the head at the same time a breeze came by Amy. Jason and Grant were in the keeper’s quarters. They heard voices and the light on Grant’s camera turned on and off about four times. The switch was actually flipped from the on to the off position. When Britt and Amy were in the keeper’s quarters, they heard tapping and foot steps that went right by Britt. Britt was sitting on the floor and could feel the vibration through the floor.

At the reveal, Jason and Grant reviewed the personal experiences, including the video of the foot step incident with Britt. They found two EVPs. One was unable to be understood. The other EVP was after Grant said, “were you attacked here”. The EVP says, “NO”.

I love the shows with old historical buildings, just to see the craftsmanship and hear the history of the buildings. This lighthouse did not have as much evidence as previous lighthouses, but it was interesting, nonetheless.
