In this week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory entitled “The Adhesive Duck Deficiency,” Leonard, Howard and Rajesh are out on a camping trip to catch a meteor shower. Howard wanders off to other campsites and comes back with a hilarious report of some “hot” school teachers.  The only problem is that they’re in their late to early sixties.  He mentions they are dressed in attire brought over from the sixties just after he reveals the cookies the “hot babes” have baked for them. Of course, after the cookies they have what is labeled as “the munchies” and actually draw up a plan to steal food from a boy scouts camp near by before they find more food of their own.

What followed were perhaps the coolest scenes of The Big Bang Theory I’ve seen yet.

As suspected the cookies are laced with some type of mind altering drug, more than likely some good old fashioned marijuana. They trade some great jokes and punch lines after getting high and we discover that Howard lost his virginity to his second cousin when he was younger and Leonard and Rajesh pummels him with “slept with your cousin” jokes.

Back at home, Penny slips and falls in the bath tube and painfully dislocates her shoulder. Fortunately, or not so fortunately, Sheldon is there to save the day and reluctantly agrees to drive her to the hospital. The entire set of funny scenes that follow could have carried the entire show. It took a small miracle to get Sheldon into the room where she is injured with his constant knocking at each and every door, to his driving her to the hospital at an unnerving turtle-like speed in Penny’s car; it was crazy fun all the way around.

Sheldon’s attempt at trying to be compassionate was so funny it was hard to watch without holding my gut. All that said, it was a goodhearted moment at the very end when Penny convinces Sheldon to sing along in her highly medicated state that really made the show.

Can’t say enough about this week’s episode of  The Big Bang Theory.  Again, the writers found a way to keep the humor original and particularly styled to fit this unique sitcom perfectly.
