The Biggest Loser is full of firsts this week. The contestants will face a double elimination like never before. The eight competitors left are conveniently divided into two sections: four older people and four younger people.

This episode started with a challenge and astounding news. At this weeks weigh-in, there will be two lines. The person with the lowest percentage weight loss will fall below the red line and automatically be eliminated. The two other contestants with the lowest percentages will fall below the yellow line and be voted on for elimination.

The first challenge had contestants pulling 50 tennis balls off of a board and throwing them into a bucket.

The first player to finish wins a one pound advantage at the weigh-in. Allen won the competition.

Everyone is stressed over the red line and its starting to take a toll on some players. At the immunity challenge, the contestants went to The Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus. A hoop, one for each player, was lowered from the ceiling. The players would jump through the hoops for one point. If your hoop reaches 100 points, you’re out. The younger four started ganging up on Liz, but the older four worked together and allowed Rudy to win the challenge.

The younger four snuck workout equipment into Shay’s room so that they could work out late at night. Bob took the contestants to a trapeze studio for their last chance workout. When they returned, Jillian was in the gym ready for another workout. People were working out so hard, they were collapsing and falling off of equipment.

At the weigh in, the fate of the contestants was up to the scale.

Rudy – 8 (immunity)

Shay – 17 (lost 100 lbs in 9 weeks, breaking the female record of 12 weeks)

Amanda – 5

Rebecca – 10

Danny – 17 (lost 118 lbs total)

Allen – 10

Liz – 12

Daniel – 5

Daniel was immediately eliminated. Shay and Amanda had the two lowest percentages of weight loss and were up for elimination. I thought this was a no brainer. Shay is so large, she would never be a threat. I was wrong. At the elimination, Shay was sent home.

In the follow up, Shay vowed to lose 213 lbs by the finale. We were not given anymore information than this. Daniel is now down to 239 lbs. He has lost a total of 215 lbs in his two seasons of The Biggest Loser.
