The Vampire Diaries is getting better and better. Damon has come up with some crazy plan. No one knows what it is, but, he says it will change everything. I think he is trying to exact revenge on Mystic Falls for killing Catherine or he could just be evil. Who knows?
This episode starts with Stefan at home, when all of a sudden we see that someone is in there with him. It is definitely a vampire. It is Lexi (Arielle Kebbel), Stefan’s oldest friend. She is 350 years old and in town for Stefan’s birthday. He leaves to go to the police station. The sheriff is asking him, Matt, Elena and Jeremy about Vicki’s disappearance. Of course, they all say the same thing, Vicki left town.
Damon takes some herbs to the sheriff to protect them from vampires. While he is there, he probes the sheriff to find out what they know about the vampire. She tells him that they are looking into any new people and that the vampires may be able to move in daylight. After learning this information, Damon goes to Caroline and tells her to plan a party at the grill and to get the necklace back from Bonnie.
Bonnie reveals to Elena that she is a real witch and displays some of her powers. Jeremy is acting weird. He is no longer drinking or doing drugs. He is actually doing homework. At the grill, Lexi and Elena talk. Lexi explains that Stefan loves her and that love will conquer all. Caroline tries to get the necklace from Bonnie. Bonnie refuses and Caroline tries to pull it off of her. The necklace shocks Caroline. Damon then tells her she is stupid and useless.
Damon goes outside and attacks a couple making out. He only attacks the boy and does his mind voodoo trick on the girl. Back inside, he tells Lexi he has a diabolical plan, but, will not give any clues. When the police arrive, they find the couple and the girl says that Lexi attacked them. The police arrest Lexi and she goes vampire and attacks them. Then Damon jumps out and puts a stake in her heart. Now he looks like the hero.
Stefan vows to end it and attacks Damon at home. Then Stefan stabs him with a stake, but not through the heart. Stefan says, “You saved me once, now I am sparing you.” Next, Bonnie has a dream where the ancestor of hers that wore the necklace is telling her, “It’s Coming.” I don’t know what it is but it must be good.
Next week, the girls are going to try to talk to Bonnie’s witchy ancestor. This episode had little action. It was all a step up for Damon’s big plan and to let the town lower their guard. I hope his plan takes flight soon. I can’t wait to see the havoc he is going to unleash.
