The Biggest Loser went the nation’s capital to visit with members of Congress about the obesity problem in America. This episode was all about Washington D.C. The teams visited many national landmarks, including, The White House. The teams are disbanded, now it is an individual game.
The show started at last week’s elimination, when Alison Sweeney told teams they were going to Washington D.C. Once in D.C., the contestants learn that the first challenge is to hit the streets and get as many people as possible to come to a workout in one hour. This was crazy. Most players were having a tough time with it. Allen hit the fire station and brought a bunch of firemen. The challenge was between Liz and Allen by one person.
Liz won. Her group received supper at Subway and Liz got an advantage in the next challenge.
The contestants, Bob and Jillian went to Congress and talked about the obesity problems in America. Then they were off to the immunity challenge. This challenge was a four tier challenge. The contestants had to run one mile. The top six went on to the next round. Liz’s advantage was she got to skip one of the first three tiers of the challenge. She decided to run the mile. Danny, Tracy and Shay were knocked out and the others went on to round two.
In this section, the contestants ran half way down the Watergate hotel steps and hauled pennies up to fill up tubes. The first four got to go to the next round. Liz skipped this part of the challenge. Allen and Amanda were eliminated at this leg. Then the contestants had to balance on a platform holding a ball above their heads. Danny and Liz were knocked out here. This left Rebecca and Rudy to battle it out for immunity. They had to step onto a workout step 206 times. Rebecca won.
The next day the contestants went to the White House, met the President’s chef, picked vegetables out of the garden, and then made a salad. The weigh-in went as follows:
Rebecca-4 pounds
Shay -9 pounds
Tracy -3 pounds
Daniel -11 pounds
Allen -9 pounds
Danny -12 pounds
Rudy -9 pounds
Liz -3 pounds
Amanda -7 pounds
Tracy and Liz fell below the line and were up for elimination. Tracy could not make up for all the game play she did in the beginning of the show and was eliminated. In the follow up, she has lost 85 pounds and looks fabulous.
I was never a big fan of Tracy and I can’t say I was sad to see her go, but she did continue to lose after she went home. Next week there is going to be a double elimination. I expect that everyone is going to work over time. These contestants are really digging in to stay in the game.
