I love the way the Heroes writers leave us hanging for two weeks at a time between  plot-lines. Valuable strategy to keep us all tuning in, and while I have to say I’ve wanted Hiro to save Charlie since the very first moment he fell in love with her, I also wanted to see Sylar do some more damage to Matt. Ah well, there’s always next week.

Back in time once again, Hiro arrives at the diner to save Charlie, which he believes is the one major wrong in his life he needs to right before he can move on. The dynamic between good and evil is clearly drawn when a little boy in a white cowboy hat gives Hiro his hat and tells him that the heroes always wear white hats, and the bad guys wear black hats. Cue… Sylar in his black baseball cap. Inside the diner, Sylar gets inside Charlie’s head and tells her he has the ability to see how things work. She’s taken aback by him, and back in the kitchen, she’s startled when she looks up and sees him in the shadows.

Hiro stops time and tries to get rid of Sylar, but “The Butterfly Man” shows up on the scene and tells Hiro that if he doesn’t do everything just right, he whole future will go kablooey. Future Hiro sends present Hiro back six months to fall in love with Charlie, and gets back to Sylar. Hiro strikes a deal with Sylar, telling him that if he saves Charlie, he’ll tell him about the future. Sylar agrees, saves Charlie and sets out to kill Claire at the Homecoming game.

Charlie is unhappy with being saved, and tells Hiro he’s selfish. She approaches him later and apologizes, but as they are leaving the bar to start on their happily ever after, “The Butterfly Man” is all Hiro sees. He kidnapped Charlie and hid her somewhere in time to convince Hiro to do his bidding and right the wrongs in his life starting with 8 weeks ago, when he killed Mohinder. He won’t tell Hiro where Charlie is unless Hiro agrees to help him.

Noah is in a diner on the phone with his wife, when blond co-worker, Lauren approaches. The two of them have worked closely together for quite sometime, and Lauren senses there is something beyond a work relationship building. She presents Noah with a hotel room key, and asks him to take things to the next level.

Later at Primatech Paper, Noah talks to Isaac Mendez about Claire, how identifying Sylar will help save his daughter. Lauren overhears, and promises Noah that she will help him save Claire. At the hotel, Noah explains that he loves his family, despite the fact that his work alienates him from them. He could never hurt them. They agree to keep their relationship professional, and later at work, she gives him an envelope with a room key and a letter explaining that she had the Haitian wipe their relationship from her memory.

I have to say, I sighed major relief at Noah not being a cheater. He may be many things, but at least he’s loyal.

Here’s hoping that next week, we find out what happened to Mohinder. Previews promise some time with Peter, who’s powers are starting to drain him, and more Sylar/Parkman madness. I can’t wait! Meet me back here next week and we’ll dish about our favorite moments!
