This week on CSI: Miami the team has to solve a murder mystery with two witnesses that have no memory of the night before.  The team is forced to figure out what happened purely by the forensic evidence left behind during the out-of-control night of mayhem. The episode starts with two unconscious guys sitting in a water fountain, covered with blood. To the surprise of the CSI unit, when they go to check the bodies they discover that the two men are both alive and uninjured, but have little or no memory of the last 24 hours.

We are then presented with a glimpse of a wedding where a hysterical bride is waiting for her soon-to-be husband and his groomsmen who are running very late.

This is where we discover that the men found at the fountain are the groomsmen for the wedding. Once awakened, they don’t have a clue as to where the groom is yet the two are covered with blood and can’t remember who’s blood it is.

The investigation is stalled by the chlorine in the water that has destroyed the entire DNA on the samples they first test so they can’t determine whose blood is splattered all over the men’s cloths. They then have to piece the night’s events together using clues they get from the men, such as a stamp from a gentleman’s club and a green substance they first believe to be glitter. The glitter turns out to be paint from a painting valued at over $20 million. Tracking down the most likely owner of the painting, they discover a body in the limousine the two drugged men stole the night before.

After all the clues are gathered and a usable sample of DNA is found, they trace what happened from a dancer at the night club to the father of the bride. It turns out he kidnapped the groom in order to give his daughter more time to decide if she really wants to marry him. The groom is found set adrift in a rubber boat out in the ocean and is rescued safe and sound.

This was one of those very unique crimes that take so many twists and turns you just can’t figure out who did it until the final confession. A very solid episode of CSI: Miami that I’m sure you will enjoy.
