The Vampire Diaries is back from its one week hiatus and it’s Halloween in Mystic Falls. We finally see what has happened since Vicki became a vampire. Now Elena and her brother, Jeremy, are the love or lust of vampires. This family don’t stand a chance. First their parents die, now this. Maybe they should just move.
This episode starts with Tyler (Michael Trevino) getting in his car at night and Vicki is there waiting on him. She goes to attack him, when Stefan and Damon jump in to save the day. Damon erases Tyler’s mind and they head for the mansion.
Everyone in town is looking for Vicki.
They all think she is on a drug bender somewhere. Elena tries to tell Jeremy to stay away from Vicki, to no avail. Elena head to the Salvatore house to find out more about Vicki. When Stefan goes to get animal blood for Vicki, she attacks Elena and tells her she is going to be with Jeremy. Girls in the new vampire shows are all goo-goo over these guys. Where is the fear, people? You wouldn’t be all swooning over an axe-wielding manic. Why is everyone all “He’s a vampire, but I love him?”
At the school everyone is preparing for the Halloween festival with costumes, props and what not. Caroline gives Bonnie a witch’s outfit and the necklace that Damon had stolen a few weeks before. Damon and Stefan have Vicki at their house until Damon lets her out. She runs home and calls Jeremy to ask him to the Halloween party at school. Damon heads to the grill and Stefan searches for Vicki.
Damon overhears Tyler’s parents talking about vampires. When the dad leaves, he flirts with the mom and finds out that the founders’ council knows there is a vampire in town. He also finds out that she is using vervain to protect herself. She has no clue he is the vampire.
Vicki, Matt, Jeremy, Stefan and Elena are all at the party. Stefan and Elena are both trying to keep Vicki away from Jeremy. She runs off and finds him. They then make out in the parking lot. Vicki becomes overwhelmed with hunger when she bites his lip. Elena finds them and a fight ensues. Vicki attacks Elena and Stefan stabs her through the heart with a big stick. Damon sees Bonnie with the necklace and tries to get it from her, but it burns his hands. Damon disposes of Vicki’s body and erases Jeremy’s memory of the night.
What was the point of the Vicki storyline if they were just going to kill her? Come on! We spend all this time with her story and now she is dead. I’m a little upset. The least they could do is let her kill a few people on the way out. Next week a 350 year old female vampire comes back into Stefan’s life and I don’t think she likes Elena.
