After Russell’s evacuation and the reprieve from elimination, Galu has to choose a leader. The rains have finally stopped and the teams are starting to dry out. This episode allows Foa Foa’s Russell to plant even more seeds of doubt in the Galu tribe. Will Foa Foa even come back to win?
This episode of Survivor: Samoa starts at Galu, with everyone remembering Russell and the men trying to use Shambo to regain their numbers. In a quick, hasty vote the tribe chose Shambo as their leader. This was the plan of the men to win Shambo over.
Reward Challenge: Lunch on a Sailboat
For the challenge, one at a time, tribe members walked into field of 30 tables with covers over them. The contestant lifted the lid of two tables to reveal the items underneath.
If the items matched the team could take a point or take the item. There were four items that had no matches. Galu took the lead and retained a fire making kit and a tarp. They continued to dominate and won the game.
Shambo sent Laura to Foa Foa, keeping her from the reward. At Foa Foa, Russell worked his magic on Laura. He talked her into some sort of alliance. This boy has alliances all over. Before long, one of them is going to bite him in the butt.
Immunity Challenge
The teams met Jeff Probst by the ocean and he told them about the challenge. The teams paddled a boat out and fished out six sets of puzzle pieces. Then paddled back and put the puzzle together. Foa Foa had a big lead in the water. Jaison and Mick pushed the boat as Russell paddled. The girls fished out the pieces. Galu was slow going but to the idea of Foa Foa. Then Jaison gave up on the puzzle and Foa Foa lost, yet again. What else is new?
Back at camp, Russell was gunning for Jaison. He was complaining about him giving up. They went to tribal council and talked about how they trusted each other. Jaison talked about how he hates losing and how he performed badly. When the votes were read, Jaison was spared and Liz went home.
Next week, the teams merge and it looks like Galu is gunning for three different people on their own tribe. Galu’s inter-tribal fights and quarrels may be Foa Foa’s saving grace.
I am so ready for the merger. Galu has no idea what Foa Foa has planned. I am sad to see Liz go, but she did ride my nerves from time to time. I can’t wait to see what happens next week. Let’s hope that the merger brings more excitement for the show.

OMG, I almost cried when Russell was lying on the ground in tears. That was so sad. I hated to see him go that way. I'm not crazy that Shambo got voted in as the leader. She's not one of my favorites. I know there is strategy behind it, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
