This week on The Biggest Loser, one team had a vast disadvantage but received some emotional rewards. After Moe’s departure last week, the black team is left dumbfounded by the blue team’s decision. Will the blue team be able to come back from last week’s loss?

At the beginning of the episode, host Alison Sweeney told the teams about the first challenge. For the challenge, the teams had to dig through piles of sand to find a box with a key inside. Once the key was found, it unlocked one of the four locks on a mystery case. The teams did not know what was in the case. They just knew it was good. Once one box was found, the person that found it could help others find their keys. The blue team worked well together and won the challenge.

When the case was opened, they discovered they had won tickets home. The tickets were for one week away from the camp, at home with their families. They could give the tickets to the black team to help their chances at the weigh-in. They decided to give their tickets to the black team so that they would go home for a week.

Pretty much the rest of the show was the black team and their families showing the struggles they had while home. Everyone that went home tried to do their best to make the right choices and exercise as much as they could. While they were gone, the blue team hit the gyms hard and volunteered at a food bank in Los Angeles.

Most of the black team went out to eat a couple of times with the exception of Danny, who choose to cook all of the meals at home. Danny had a breakthrough at home when he realized how much his weight had effected his family. At the last chance workout, Danny was working faster and harder than he ever had before, while Daniel seemed sluggish. Daniel did have a breakthrough in the workout, which helped him discover more about his eating.

At the weigh-in, the blue team weighed in first. The weights were as follows:

Blue Team

Allen -8, Rebecca -5, Tracy -4, Liz -4, and Rudy -14 (his total weight loss right now is 87 lbs)

Black Team

Amanda -6, Shay -5, Abby -4, Dina -5, Danny -15, and Daniel +1

The black team lost the weigh-in and had to choose someone to go home. After careful deliberation, they voted to send Dina home. In the follow up, Dina was working hard with her son at the gym. When she arrived at the ranch, she weighed 253 lbs. Now, she weighs 188 lbs. She just completed her first marathon and looks great.
