It is week five on Dancing With The Stars and the game is on. This week was packed with entertainment. The contestants had to perform a solo dance and a group dance this week. Will Aaron Carter be able to pull himself from the bottom? Can Melisa hold on to the high rating she received last week?
For the first Paso Doble, we had Natalie and Alec. The dance was fun but the chemistry seemed to be missing. Their score was a 22.
Aaron and Karina took the stage with a sexy Argentine Tango. It was exotic and Aaron really showed his control and power on the dance floor. The judges gave them a 24.
The next Paso Doble performed was done by Michael and Anna.
This dance and Kelly’s dance tied for my favorite Paso Doble of the night. It was aggressive and action packed. They received a score of 21, which I thought should have been higher.
A beautiful intricate Argentine Tango was danced by Mya and Dmitry. Mya has been very consistent through out the show. The team always performed good moves and great footwork. Thier score was a 27.
Mark and Lacy danced the next Paso Doble. This team has become very repetitive to me. Dramatic starts, some flip by Mark and a dramatic end. This was a sharp dance but it just was not my cup of tea. The judges gave them a 26.
The next couple to perform was Donny and Kym, with an Argentine Tango. This dance suited Donny well. It was passionate, brooding and exciting all in one. They receive the highest score of the night a 29.
Louie and Chelsie followed Donny and Kyn with an Argentine Tango that told a story. This was sexy and exhilarating. There where some great lifts in the dance. This couples score was a 22.
Melisa and Marc performed the third Argentine tango in a row. This dance started boring and grow a little. Melisa lost her steps a few times. They received a generous 23.
The Paso Doble was back with Kelly and Louis. They dance to Ozzy Osbourne’s hit Crazy Train. It was dark and brooding. She danced with more confidence and authority this week. The judges gave the duo a 24.
Derek, who normally dances with Joanna, got the flu last week. Maksim filled in for him with Joanna. The two danced an intense Argentine Tango. They worked well together considering the situation. She stumbled a few times and the judges gave them a score of 24.
Then the whole crew got together and danced the Hustle. The guys were wild and crazy. They looked like they were really having fun. Kelly did hurt her foot but danced anyway.
I was very impressed by how well everyone did today. After last week, I was ready to be let down. I was pleasantly surprised. It is hard to tel who is going home. I feel like it might be Mark, Melisa or Michael going home tomorrow.
