After last weeks results show we have only 11 couples competing in Dancing With The Stars. This week, for the first time ever, the dancers will perform The Two-step, The Bolero, The Charleston, or The Lambada. Who will wow the judges? Who will come up short?
Chuck and Anna were the first to perform tonight. Their Two-step had very little “Two-step” in it. It was more of a country swing than anything. The judges gave them a 17.
Melissa and Mark performed a fun 20′s style Charleston. This dance was very reminiscent of the silent movies. The judges thought Melissa had improved greatly and gave them a 28.
Natalie and Alec performed the Bolero of the night.
I thought the dance was very good, however, there was a stumble at the end. This dance was very lyrical and the judges gave the couple a 24.
Aaron and Karina were up next with a Lambada. This Lambada was extremely boring, not sexy and it seemed as though Karina did all of the moves. This team received an 18.
Mark and Lacey did a Two-step. This Two-step had more Two-step action than the first dance of the night. The judges gave them a 22.
Kelly and Louis performed a Chicago-style Charleston. Very dramatic. Kelly seemed joyful and at ease during this episode. She had more confidence than before. They received a 23.
Joanna and Derek did a very sexy and sultry Lambada. Bruno said, “Don’t try this at home. It’s like when animals get physical.” This team received a 26.
Donny and Kym performed the Charleston. This dance really let Donny show off his showmanship. It was cute and smooth. The team received a 24.
Michael and Anna danced a Bolero. This dance was boring to the point of no return. He followed her around while she danced. It was romantic, but, it had few steps. They received a generous 16.
Louie and Chelsie did a Two-step which consisted of tricks and stunts. I think I saw them dance for about three seconds. This was disappointing, because normally their dances are very good. The also received a 16.
Mya and Dmitry performed a Lambada which was sexy and exciting. It kept my attention the whole time. The judges agreed with me, giving them a 28.
Overall, I was disappointed by the performances this week. I’ve been doing the Two-step since the seventh grade and I’m pretty sure I could have danced circles around these people tonight. The biggest shock for me was Melissa and Mya both getting a 28. My prediction is that Michael Irvin or Chuck Liddell will be going home tomorrow.
