This week CSI must have let the girls have a few days off. This episode features Ray (Laurence Fishburne)  and Nick (George Eads) with a little Catherine (Marg Helgenburger). Don’t think I’m complaining, I love me some CSI guys.

“Working Stiffs” opened with a guy being bludgeoned in the woods. The show actually showed the killer. Yeah, we see the killers face all during the beating. Ray and Nick examine the body and area after the body is found. We see the killer, Paulie, at work in a big office. He worked with the victim. Doing the autopsy they find an implant chip in the dead guys arm and find out his name, Jason Devereaux.

The team goes to the house and finds a truck with water in the back and a semen stain in the seat. They also find that his house has been robbed. As the team searches his desk they discover he has remote accesses to his home computer at work, which is handy because his home computer was stolen. The team finds the stolen computer, but the thief is just a thief.

They get into his computer and find out he has key logging software and spyware on most of the computers at work. He has been spying on his coworkers. The implant in his arm is an electrical key that lets him in and out of rooms at work. Jason also has a juvenile record of violence and blowing things  up. In a flashback, he teams up with Paulie to get back at the company. He works with him to get some explosives, for some unknown purpose. Paulie steals a flash drive from Jason’s desks that is full of passwords and access keys for work.

When the CSI team realizes that a girl in the office has had sex with Jason, they go to pick her up and Pauly drops the flash drive in her purse. The team finds out Paulie and Jason were working together to bust the safe at work. Paulie was going to back out and Jason insulted him. Pauly took a piece of the safe and beat him to death.

Paulie broke into his work and was about to bust the safe when Ray and Nick arrive. He blows the door off the safe and the door hits him and pins him to the floor. The team breaks through the door and Paulie dies there.

I am used to seeing at least two cases per CSI episode, but this case was enough to fill the hour. The guy who played Paulie (Tim Blake Nelson) was a great choice. He is freaky looking and you just don’t trust him.
