The Big Bang Theory is one of those unusual shows that either you either are going to love or you won’t even pause your finger while clicking through the channels. This is an uncommonly simple sitcom that just really works all the way around.

In last night’s episode, “The Gothowitz Deviation,” the character Wolowitz, which is played by Simon Helberg, meets a girl online who is heavily into Goth. When she asks to meet at a local Goth club, Wolowitz  is forced to take on a fake Goth persona of his own in order to impress the girl.

Wolowitz and Koothrappali put fake tattoos on their arms and meet the girl and her friend.

The two hit it off and the girl decides they need to get some brand new tattoos together. Wolowitz agrees in hopes that he will impress her enough so that she will sleep with him. Everything is fine until the proverbial tattoo needle meets the skin and Wolowitz leaps off the table after but a split second of pain. Wolowitz and Koothrappali end up having to admit the sham and the girls leaves disgusted… and in a funny fashion of course.

On the other side of the show’s aisle, Sheldon uses positive reinforcement to train Penny to behave how he likes, kind of like a lab-rat. Leonard realizes what he is doing and becomes upset by the whole situation and tells Sheldon to stop. However, after watching how well it is working, Leonard tries to get in on the act, but Penny catches on and ends up giving him a bit of negative reinforcement of her own – girl style.

The Gothowitz Deviation was one funny episode and The Big Bang Theory continues to bring fresh comedy from some fairly strange perspectives. The quality ratings reveal that CBS is rolling right now with this very entertaining televisions series.
