House has not been the same these past couple weeks. By this, I mean both the television show and the character. With House (Hugh Laurie) getting off the Vicodin and becoming as mentally healthy as House can possibly be, it has changed the format of the show. In addition, the entire team aside from Foreman (Omar Epps) has either been fired or quit. So, this week we can look forward to the old team of Cameron, Foreman, and Chase joining House to solve the case.
An African President (James Earl Jones), who is known for the genocide of his own people, begins to cough up blood. The team has to figure out of this was an attempted assassination or if he is sick for some other reason.
House rejoins the team.
While he still doesn’t have his medical license, Foreman is still in charge. It seems that Cuddy is prepared to have House come back as the head of diagnostics. Foreman is less than thrilled with his own demotion and even tries to hire Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) back. He claims to have fired her because they couldn’t work together with his being in charge and now that he will not be in charge, he wants her back. She declines. This is fine by me. I like the old team back together again.
Meanwhile, the team struggles with the moral dilemma of possibly saving a man that is held accountable for the deaths of so many innocent people. Foreman holds true to his beliefs in the diagnosis. It turns out that it doesn’t matter because he dies while in their care.
It is nice to see House back to his somewhat normal self. It is also nice to see the old team back together again. While House has been great the past two seasons, it was as if something was amiss. Throw in a controversial case that gets everyone thinking along with James Earl Jones, and it is a recipe for success. This is the first episode of House in a long time that felt truly right.
Until next week, here’s another web exclusive clip for your House fix:

Cameron is supposed to leave the show mid-season. So I think 13 will come back. And after what Chase did last night, not sure he'll be back after this season.
