On the second episode of FlashForward we follow Mark, played by Joseph Fiennes, and Demetri as they travel to Utah to try to find a suspect who may be connected with the global blackout phenomena. There goal is to discover what caused the event, and prevent it from happening again.

They meet a police officer who confides in Demetri and reveals that, just like him, she did not see anything in her future during the blackout period. Demetri’s worst fears seem to materialize as within about five minutes after she revealed this to him she gets shot and killed.

He is really worried that because he didn’t have a vision of his future, that he has no future because he will soon be dead.  He then seeks help on the Mosaic site and he is contacted by a woman who appears to be another agent,  who tells him that he will be murdered in 2010 based on the future she saw.

From another plot sequence of the show, we see Olivia meeting the man she saw herself sleeping with from her flash forward vision. Later her daughter Charlie reveals that she saw her future stepfather’s son during the blackout too.

This second episode was even better than the pilot in my opinion. In this episode we start getting some background information on the characters in FlashForward and it brings the entire show closer to home. It makes you get more into the drama surrounding the events that led up to the blackout and going with them forward.
