David Letterman has apparently had sex with female co-workers and has now been threatened that his secret would be revealed unless he paid the extortionist $2 million.  Letterman appears to be attempting to air all of his dirty laundry himself rather than let someone else profit from making the errors he has done public.  According to Letterman, the guy was planning to write both a screenplay and a book.

After working with his attorney and the Manhattan DA’s office, they coordinated a sting operation, giving the guy a fake check for the $2 million and later arrested him for extortion.  So who was it? It was a 20 year veteran from the CBS network who works with the 48 Hours TV show.

The whole story is quite amazing and to be honest, shocking.  For years I thought David Letterman was a little light in the loafers, at least up until he had a kid.  Now it turns out he’s been shagging women (yes, apparently there was more than one) behind the scenes (or behind stage?) for years.  Well, this late night revelation from one of the kings of late night shows has rocked the entertainment world.  It’s hit the mainstream news, and here’s what CBS’ own are saying this morning about the whole thing…
