ABC has hit it out of the park for me with The Forgotten, which had 9.4 million viewers for the premiere.  When I first heard of the show, I thought,”Sure, why not? Haven’t seen Christian Slater in a while, I’ll check it out.”  I am so happy I did. This show has intrigued me and left me wishing the it came on daily.

This week’s Jane Doe was a girl found in a box that was left in a alley. A engagement ring was found with the body, thus the name Diamond Jane. The Forgotten Network springs into action with only a valet receipt, an engagement ring and a dead body. Tyler quickly creates a sculpture of the girl and Measurements are taken of the body, to see if any custom dresses where made for Jane.

They find out that the box she was left in was actually from a specific type of keyboard.

Russel and Alex visit the hotel from the valet ticket. She was there about six weeks ago, just before her death. Russel notices the video camera and asks the manager for the footage. The manager was so demeaning, I felt bad for him. The custom dress came through with an Allison James, from new york. Her fiance and parents are brought in for questioning. The parents think her fiance, Patrick, killed her. Walter returns to the hotel and sweet talks a girl into giving him the video footage.

They discover that she went to Chicago to try to reunite her fiance with his estranged father. While there she discovered that his step mother, Charlotte (Judith Hoag), was lying. She was married to another man and has gone by many names. The group thinks she is conning Patrick’s dad. Lindsay goes to visit Charlotte’s husband.

The secretary at Patrick’s dad’s office says that Allison came by with papers and she took them to his house. Charlotte called later saying that he had reviewed the papers and wanted to set up a meeting at the hotel. Russell finds Allison, in the surveillance video,  entering the hotel. Shortly after she enters, Charlotte and her ex husband are seen. The police are informed and Alex rushes to  save Lindsay from the husband. She sees the keyboard in this house and tries to leave, but he stops her. They begin to fight, then Alex breaks the door down and saves her.

In this episode, we find out that Lindsay’s husband was in the news for something horrible and she had no idea, Alex had a small meltdown when his daughter went missing and Candace is a runaway bride. This show has completely exceeded my expectations. I hope the ratings stay high do we can see more.
