Last week on HouHouse_0602se, House (Hugh Laurie) spent a great deal of time in the mental hospital. Thank goodness he went through the treatment and came through the other end okay. In the end, he would get the recommendation he needed to return to medicine. That is what the viewer was left to assume at the end of the episode. House returns to medicine. Maybe.

In the beginning of the episode, we are watching a video game simulation. The creator of the video game begins to have burning sensation and pain in his hands. That is what puts him in the emergency room.

Meanwhile, House is speaking with Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) and Foreman (Omar Epps). He quits. That’s it. He just up and quits! Unbelievable! But anyway, before House can even get out of the building, Foreman asks to become the head of diagnostics. Apparently, while House was gone, the team was disbanded. But Cuddy gives him the position and the team is brought back together once again.

House attends a cooking class with Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) in order to give his mind and body something new to concentrate on. Cuddy visits him at home while he is cooking with another member of the class. She wants to know if she is the reason why he quit. He lets her know that she is definitely one of the reasons why he chose to leave.

As for the patient, the team goes through several potential diagnoses. The patient has his own theories and even brings in the help of other doctors and offers a reward to the person that can diagnose him correctly. It turns out that one of the people responding to the case is the one to solve it and neither Foreman or Thirteen figured it out on their own. It turns out that it was House that solved the problem.

Foreman and Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) are having trouble working together with his new position as her boss and are disagreeing about the potential diagnosis. Taub (Peter Jacobson) quits because he received an offer from another hospital. Foreman fires Thirteen.

The name of the show is House. I want to see House do what he does best. I do not need to see him at home and cooking. I want to see him at the hospital, leading his team, and working with patients. However, I have also grown attached to House and I want him to lead the best possible life. I don’t want to see him back on the Vicodin. Thank goodness next week House will be back, but will he be the same?
