The women of Desperate Housewives are back for a sixth season. At the end of last season,we saw that Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Tom are expecting twins, Orson is blackmailing Bree (Marcia Cross) while she is contemplating sleeping with Carl, Susan (Teri Hatcher) and MJ escape from Dave who dies in the car crash, and Mike Delfino is getting married again. But to whom?

This question is answered right away when we see Susan in her beautiful wedding gown. Thank goodness! It has always been obvious that they were meant to be together and all the scenes between him and Katherine (Dana Delaney) were almost too painful to watch.

Wisteria Lane gets a new resident with the Bolen family.

Angie Bolen (Drea de Matteo), her husband and son Danny are joining the families of Wisteria Lane in the house where Mary-Alice shot herself. There is definitely something off about the family, as is with all the families that move onto Wisteria Lane. It appears to be something with the son, and his penchant for young women.

Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker) and Carlos have taken in Carlos’ niece, Anna. She is proving to be a lot of trouble. She wants to dress like a hooker and goes to bars. One of the best scenes in a long time shows Gabby going to the bar, hopping on stage, and asking the crowd to look for Anna and point her out. At first she gets boos, but after threatening to call the cops, the crowd lifts Anna up in the air and to the stage (see first clip, above). Go Gabby! This whole situation is exactly what Gabby needed to sign the papers to become Anna’s legal guardian. She promises to be hard on Anna and watch her like a hawk. However, it is obvious that she is doing it out of love. Very touching.

The episode ends with a pair of hands wearing black gloves reaching out into the darkness and wrapping around Julie’s throat. It is obviously Danny, but he is not shown. Julie lies there lifeless.

Will Julie be ok and will her would-be murder get caught? What’s up with the new family on Wisteria Lane? Last season held few questions for the women of Wisteria Lane. It seems that this season they are bringing back more of that mystery. This is a great thing! Already, in one episode, Desperate Housewives has truly ingraitated itself back into my life.
