Thousands of fans tuned in for another episode of Monk’s final season. With only nine episodes remaining, viewing the show as of late is bitter sweet. This week’s episode follows Monk as he attempts to solve a slew of murders, despite his affliction of OCD that often complicates his life, and the lives of those close to him.
Monk (Tony Shalhoub) attempts to unravel the facts surrounding the untimely deaths of several people in the community. The case becomes complicated after Monk finds out the victims had recently received voodoo dolls in the mail displaying the method in which they would soon die. Not only does Monk have to worry about the community and who will be the next victim on this psychopathic killer’s list, he is also worried about his assistant, Natalie (Traylor Howard).
Natalie is totally consumed with fear and retreats to her home as the presence of “black magic” hovers over the community. The story takes a twist when Monk figures out who the killer is and scrambles to save Natalie out of the clutches of this evil killer’s hands before it’s too late.
I enjoyed this episode of Monk and was delighted to watch Meat Loaf play the guest role of Reverend Jorgensen as he attempted to deliver Natalie from the spell that she believed she was under. He gave an awesome performance, one that I hope will earn him a place in future television roles. The next episode of Monk is titled Mr. Monk Goes to Group Therapy, and is schedule to air on October 9, 2009.
Meanwhile, here’s a webisode clip where Monk “fixes” the Captain’s computer.
